We offer recordings of each service at no cost. However, donations are appreciated.
Complimentary Valet Parking
This ministry is available to everyone. It is a special blessing to those mothers with small children, the elderly and our visitors. If you want to take advantage of this service, please pull up to the main entrance. We have trustworthy men who will park your car and then bring it back to the main entrance at the conclusion of the service.
We believe in a culture where marriages need to be strong to withstand the pressures of parenting, financial challenge, loneliness and time management. Each year in September, our Couples’ Retreat helps husbands and wives grow in their relationship with each other and with God. The retreat is also a wonderful opportunity to fellowship with other couples.
What do I do after I get saved? We’re GLAD you asked! Whether you’re a new believer in Christ or just want to grow more in your faith with the Lord, getting grounded in the Word of God is very important. It’s important to know what you believe and why. Too many new Christians fall through the cracks and fall by the wayside because they are not grounded in the Word of God. Discipleship Training is designed for new believers in Christ. The church has an obligation and a responsibility to disciple believers. Understanding the basic fundamentals of Bible doctrine is important because doctrine determines what you believe. Jesus Christ is the Foundation of our faith (I Corinthians 3:11). Building upon that Foundation is extremely important. God has a purpose and a plan for your life. He wants to use you to bring honor and glory to Him. Biblical Discipleship Training is a tool that can help you fulfill God’s purpose for your life. There will come times when your faith will be challenged and tested. Believers need to be prepared to give an answer for what they believe and why (I Peter 3:15). It’s time to STAND UP FOR JESUS!
Intercessory Prayer Ministry
Prayer is the greatest and most unused resource a Christian has. Jesus said in Matthew 21:13, “My house shall be called the house of prayer…”
At The Baptist Tabernacle, we believe in the power of prayer. We still come together in prayer at the altar at the beginning of each Sunday night service. We also have various other intercessory prayer meetings every week and throughout the month. D.L. Moody said, "Every great movement of God can be traced to a kneeling figure." We long to see God do something great and powerful in our nation in these last days in which we live. Many people from all over the country send us prayer requests knowing that we will intercede on their behalf. We are a praying church and we want to pray for you. If you have a prayer request that you would like listed, please contact us
with the name(s). For your privacy, we will not list any reasons, specifics or conditions of prayer. God knows the need; all we have to do is lift up the name. Our prayer list is updated weekly.
We offer deaf interpretation of the services as necessary. If you would like to join us for one of our services, and need an interpreter, please call us and let us know you are coming, and we will be more than happy to have a translator available.
Military and Public Services Ministry
We want to minister to those who are currently serving on active duty and to our veterans, as well as to our law enforcement, firefighters and EMTs, and share with them the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Each year, we honor these men and women in our Memorial Day service, Independence Day Celebration service and our Veterans' Day service.
The Prison/Jail Ministry is an evangelistic program to reach the incarcerated of our area. “As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one;” Romans 3:10. We want to bring God’s gift of salvation to all and we must not forget that we are all sinners. God’s Word is the key to true freedom. Through this ministry, thousands of inmates have come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior. Once released, many of them have become active members of the church, law-abiding citizens and productive members of society. There's no better way to help prevent repeat offences than introducing someone to Jesus.
Our annual Homecoming is the third Sunday in July. We always look forward to this special day as many former members return for a time of great preaching, followed by our dinner on the grounds fellowship. Our Jubilee Camp Meeting is held that week, Monday through Friday, and is filled with powerful preaching from God’s Word. Throughout the year, we have other revival meetings, camp meetings and missions conferences for our church, sister churches and community.
This ministry is a blessing to our community. We provide canned goods and staple items to those who just need a little help. Our food pantry is stocked through donations from our church family. New to 2013 is our Thursday Food Ministry, where we have the blessing of providing food to the needy on the second Thursday of every month. James 2:15-16 says, “If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body: what doth it profit?”
Since 1964, many-thousands of people have trusted Christ as their personal Savior through our services, classes and ministries. Each week our members participate in visitation outreach throughout our community.
