Pastor Emeritus Dr. R. Hudson Moody

Thank God for a man with a vision and a burden. The Baptist Tabernacle was established back on July 19, 1964. Pastor Hudson Moody, under the obedience of the Lord Jesus Christ and led by the Holy Spirit of God, started this great church in the Covington Georgia area. He and his wife poured their lives into this ministry. Its foundation is sure and steadfast because its Chief Corner Stone is built on the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Peter 2:6). Preacher Hudson Moody pastored this great church up until 2003 when he then retired and was named Pastor Emeritus. His son, Preacher David Moody, was called to oversee this great work of the Lord. We praise the Lord for the many lives that were touched and decisions made for the Lord in years past and to what the Lord continues to do here at The Baptist Tabernacle! Only eternity will reveal the results of this great ministry as we serve the Lord together.
